Between the Trees

This scene felt like an invitation to pause.

Framed by two trees, the frozen lake opens quietly in the distance. The water isn’t fully still, not fully moving. A small group of ducks drifts together in the only place that hasn’t frozen yet, as if they found the last pocket of calm.

Winter often creates distance, but this moment feels intimate. The trees act like a frame, the snow softens every edge, and the muted colors keep everything grounded. Nothing feels staged. It’s simply a quiet moment unfolding on its own.
